Many motorcycle things happened this past week.

In no particular order:

Rode a old monster 620 with a slipping clutch

Test rode a 2016 scrambler icon

Test rode a 2015 diavel

Got the BMW cleaned and oil changed

Work done on suzuki: fork seals, wheel bearings, valve check (in progress) head bearings, oil change, and a wash.

Busy busy busy. Not to mention some shit hitting the fan in my personal life. Might have to rethink want I want to do withmyself in the future.

How hard is that valve check? My SV had only 8600 miles on it when I got it a few weeks ago but I just ticked over 10k. At this rate (especially if I do all the trips on my list) I’ll probably be getting close 15k before I know it

I hope the owner of that monster knows you aren’t supposed to use the red key. But props to him for having the high mount termis. Those things are impossible to find nowadays.

Edit: you probably also realize you need a REAL v-twin in your garage.

Honestly, the monster and the scrambler were meh.

The diavel though. Good fucking god. 2nd or 3rd midrange, hope on the gas, lights up the rear without even flinching. Long wheel base means it doesnt try to wheelie too hard either

Next person to tell me to get a ‘real’ bike parked in my garage is getting my foot parked up their ass. Ive forgoten just how douchy some ppl can be. BMW guys, harley heads, squids. The lot of them.

I know. Ive just heard that at least 30 times over the past week and its beginning to get on my nerves. BMW boxer bro asking when im going to get ride of POS ROTAX motored bmw. I’m curious what you thought of the scrambler. I’m considering going to a “simpler” bike and its vaguely on my radar.

Also, the 1200 Testastretta ducs are amazing. I haven’t ridden the diavel, but the last multi and my Monster have both been amazing. Of course, the multi being taller and shorter was a wheelie fiend. You had to be a bit gentle on upshifts if you wanted to stay planted.
